WHAT IS SOUND?

Sound is a type of energy that travels through the air, water, or other mediums as vibrations, which are detected by our ears. These vibrations are created when an object moves or disturbs the surrounding particles, causing them to bump into each other in waves. Our ears pick up these waves and translate them into signals that the brain interprets as sound, such as speech, music, or noise. Sound can vary in pitch (frequency) and loudness (amplitude), and it plays a crucial role in communication, entertainment, and our perception of the environment.

Sound Testing...

Conducting noise tests should be a priority early in the construction phase.

Should it become a necessity to modify the building in later stages due to noise attenuation levels not being achieved, these adjustments to insulation can be costly.  It would be easier and at a lower cost than if these modifications were made at an early design stage.
